WITH THE 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo only a few months out of the box, Porsche has announced today that it will unveil the more hardcore 911 Turbo S at Geneva next month.

Producing 395kW and a full 700Nm of torque, the 911 Turbo S will outdo not only the 'regular' 911 Turbo, but also the 390kW and 680Nm of the 997 911 GT2.

Along with Porsche's all-wheel-drive system, the 911 Turbo S is fitted with Porsche's dynamic engine mounts and torque vectoring system, and a mechanical differential lock at the rear axle.

Available only with Porsche's seven-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) dual clutch transmission, the 911 Turbo S will bolt to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds, and 200km/h in just 10.8 seconds. Top speed is listed as 315km/h.

Despite the boost in power and torque, the Turbo S uses no more fuel than its less extreme sibling, consuming just 8.7 l/100km on the combined cycle.

Standard features for the 2011 911 Turbo S include ceramic brakes, 19-inch alloy wheels, steering-mounted shift paddles, adaptive sports seats, and exclusive twin-tone leather trim.

Due to go on sale in Europe in both Coupe and Cabriolet bodystyles from May, the 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S will make its way to the US and Australia toward the end of the year or early in 2011.
