Mazda Australia has released a slew of new images for its upcoming 2011 BT-50 - but with the Japanese carmaker staying quiet on the fine details for the new ute, potential buyers remain no closer to a launch date.

Unveiled to the world at October's Australian International Motor Show, the all-new BT-50 is expected to debut sometime next year with both single and dual-cab variants in cab chassis and styleside arrangements.

Specific launch dates, pricing and powertrains have yet to be revealed.

Although a launch date remains unknown, Mazda has confirmed that production for the new BT-50 will begin in June and that the line-up will continue to be a diesel-only affair.

Mazda is expected to launch its new Sky-G petrol and Sky-D diesel engines in 2011, suggesting the new BT-50 will be powered by the Japanese carmaker's new diesel engine.
