2011 Honda CR-Z Modulo And Mugen Accessories Revealed

A LEAKED BROCHURE last year gave us our first glimpse at the 2011 Honda CR-Z's performance-inspired sibling. This week, Honda's tuning arm Mugen has released images and basic details for the CR-Z's go-fast and look-good accessories.

Included in the options list are sportier front and rear bumpers, restyled exhaust tips, interior accessories and a roof-mounted spoiler/wing.

While the Mugen CR-Z catalogue leans more toward style than power, the performance side of the accessories list includes a cat-back exhaust system, upgraded suspension and higher-spec brake pads. 

Inside, there's an aluminium gearshift knob, a three-gauge central cluster, floor mates and a Mugen-emblazoned carbon-fibre rear-view mirror.

Whether we'll see the Mugen accessories list in Australia remains to be seen. The brand has solid recognition among local Honda enthusiasts, but little in the way of an official history with the brand's Australian arm.

One set of accessories we will likely see offered with the CR-Z in Australia however is the Modulo kit. While not as aggressive as the Mugen items, the Modulo range brings its own flair to the already sporty coupe.

No surface has been left untouched with the Modulo pack. The options list includes restyled front and rear bumpers, satin-silver outside mirrors, Recaro sports seats, 17-inch alloy wheels and interior mood lighting.

Honda Australia’s Public Relations Manager, Mark Higgins, told TMR that the CR-Z is likely to arrive in Australian showrooms in 2011, although firm dates have not yet been confirmed.
