2011 Ford Territory Spied Testing

Ford's updated-for-2011 Territory has been spied testing once again, with TMR reader Andrew catching sight of the same Territory caught on camera earlier this month.

Wearing only light 'camouflage' that has left nothing to the imagination, the spied test car offers a new look at the all-new front end and the revised rear, including new taillights and a redesigned bumper.

Earlier photos by TMR reader Brendan showed the same vehicle, previewed for the first time this month in an official teaser illustration.

Brendan and fellow FordForums.com.au member Julza describes the 2011 Territory's cabin as a mix between the outgoing Territory and the current FG Falcon.

"Door trims and seats were all the same [as the current model Territory]. Steering wheel and centre console are FG Falcon, and the centre stack appears to be shaped [under the camouflage cloth] the same as FG as well, with unique side vents on both sides of the dash - which were not covered," Julza said.

Andrew noted that the interior still camouflaged interior appears to feature the Falcon's gear selector, while sticking with the current Territory's seats and door cards. 

The updated Territory's new face draws styling cues from Ford's international 'Kinetic' design language, while bringing Ford Australia's own flair to the task.

The launch of the 'new' Territory will also see the addition of a diesel powerplant, confirmed to be a version of the 2.7 litre turbo-diesel V6 engine currently driving some Land Rover models.

More details and images for the updated Territory are expected to be revealed early in 2011, likely at the Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne.
