Hot on the heels of last week's big reveal, BMW has released details and images of the M Sport package that will accompany the international launch of the 2011 BMW X3 next year.
Where the regular X3 features uncoated bumper inserts and wheel arches for that rugged off-road look, the X3 M Sport package brings body-coloured pieces for a road-focused sports style.
Hinting at a future X3 M model, the M Sport brings a sportier front bumper with larger intakes and a faux diffuser to the rear bumper. The window frames and and roof rails get a gloss black finish, and 19-inch M Sport alloy wheels hold up each corner.
As with most models in the range, performance tweaks are limited to handling components, the X3 M Sport getting a lower, stiffer M Sport suspension package.
Other features include M-branded steering wheel, a short-throw gear shifter, gear shift paddles for the xDrive35i variant, sports seats, 'Pearlpoint' cloth-leather interior trim and an anthracite roof liner.
The X3 M Sport is expected to debut overseas in the second quarter of 2011, with Australian availability likely to follow sometime after the local X3 launch next year.
