Less than two months on from the unveiling of trhe 2011 Audi A7 Sportback in Germany, Audi's upcoming S7 has been spied testing in Europe this week.

Completely undisguised and missing only the 'S7' badge from its grille, this test car's true identity is nonetheless unmistakable thanks to that S-styled front bumper and quad-exhausts up back.

The S7's powerplant is still unknown. The 245kW 3.0 litre force-fed V6 of the S5 is a possible starter, although reports out of Europe in recent weeks suggest the big four-door coupe will be powered by the same 'high output' V8 engine set to feature in the entry-level 2011 Bentley Continental GT.

Power figures for that engine have yet to be revealed, although numbers upwards of 320kW are likely.

With nothing left to hide on the cosmetic front, Audi may be preparing to unveil the 2011 S7 at Paris this month, alongside the rumoured e-tron Spyder concept.
