SUZUKI HAS LAUNCHED the 2010 Suzuki RMX450Z in Australia, based on the championship-winning fuel-injected RM-Z450.

Suzuki's newest trailbike offering in Australia, the RMX450Z has no ADR certification for road registration, making it strictly an off-roader.

Powered by a 449cc, four-stroke single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC, 4-valve engine, and the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) , the RMX450Z also has a modified inlet tract and revised cam profiles for enhanced low and mid-range power.

The bike's five-speed transmission now has wider primary and final drive ratios, designed to help riders get the most from the engine in the various riding conditions encountered off-road.

The RMX450Z features an electric starter which, along with the lights, is charged by a large magneto-generator.

Based on the RM-Z450 but optimised for off-road riding, an aluminium alloy frame utilises cast and extruded sections in a slim, lightweight, rigid and tough package.

Also inspired by the RM-Z450, the Showa suspension package includes 47mm inverted and fully adjustable front forks, while the rear shock unit features fully adjustable rebound, compression (high and low speed) and pre-load settings.

Other features of the 2010 Suzuki RMX450Z include slim bodywork, a low-profile aluminium fuel tank and a motocross-developed seat.

Finally, a compact instrumentation display allows riders to choose between a sports mode with trip meter, timer and average speed, and a standard mode with additional information include speed and time.

Pricing

The 2010 Suzuki RMX450Z is available now, priced from $11,790, excluding dealer delivery and region-specific fees.
