PATENT APPLICATIONS, leaked promotional images and errant brochures - it seems there's more than a few holes in the auto industry's fence. This time, it's the previously unseen interior of the upcoming 2010 Mitsubishi RVR (or is it ASX?)
Almost an evolution of the Outlander's, the dashboard of the RVR features a raised, forward-thrust centre stack, with the centre air vents set above the infotainment section rather than off to either side.
While this shot of the interior offers a new glimpse at the RVR's styling, Mitsubishi Motors Australia has yet to reveal Australian dates or pricing for the new model - or whether it will be known by the European 'ASX' or Japanese 'RVR' moniker.
In Japan, the RVR is powered by a 1.8 litre petrol engine, paired with Mitsubishi???s CVT automatic transmission.
Local models are likely to be offered with Mitsubishi???s larger 2.0 litre unit and the new 1.8 litre turbo-diesel.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia is expected to announce details for the new crossover???s local debut in the coming weeks.

I bet it doesn't have reach adjustable steering. I hope it doesn't have the crap seats from the Lancer either. They are flat as with bugger all under thigh support. I had to roll up a towel to get any support!
Fantastic new model from Mitsubishi. We own a 2009 Lancer VR-X and love it, its a genuine sporty sedan with heaps of features and the front driver's seat offers great support. I read on an American website that European models have reach adjustment too, which I'd expect will be available in all markets once released. Mitsubishi build terrific vehicles and this one is in AWD mode is definitely on our list for a family car.
I'd rather the Dualis...
The Lancer VRX Seats are fine... The base ES and VR seats are as flat as a fart though...
Yeah, the ES & VR Lancer front seating isnt as supportive as the VR-X but I found a 3 hour return in a trip in a VR was perfectly comfortable. As for the Dualis, well its dull and butt ugly ( typical generic Nissan ) to say the least and Nissan is having a very hard time shifting these things.
Agreed on the cornering support in ES seats...as an owner. Though from the picture above, the seat squabs are from Outlander. I also notice the handbrake is set up for RHD, unlike the Lancer!
