Mitsubishi Australia has today launched the 2010 Mitsubishi Pajero Platinum Edition, arriving just over a year after the launch of the 2009 edition.

Based on the 2010 Pajero GLX, the new Pajero Platinum Edition (PE) gains a number of exterior and interior features normally reserved higher-end variants.

On the outside, the Pajero PE gets tinted privacy glass, body-coloured door handles and mirrors, a chrome radiator grille and silver roof rails.

In the cabin, Mitsubishi's Multi Communication System (MMCS) is featured, offering Navigation Voice Command Steering Wheel Controls and a reversing camera, along with an 850 watt Rockford Acoustic Design 12-speaker premium audio system.

Safety is handled by the Pajero's standard equipment, including ABS brakes with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Distribution, Electronic Stability Control and driver and passenger airbags.

Front fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers and dusk-sensing headlamps are also featured as part of the Pajero PE package.

The Pajero PE is available with either a 3.8 litre petrol engine or a 3.2 litre diesel engine, both available with manual and automatic transmissions.
