MERCEDES-BENZ Australia has today announced the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLK 300, following an extensive update to the SLK range in 2008.

Likely to be the last update to the local SLK line-up before the extensively facelifted 2011 SLK makes its international debut, the 2010 SLK 300 is powered by a 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine.

Producing 170kW and 300Nm of torque, the SLK 300 sits between the 135kW 1.8 litre four-cylinder, supercharged SLK 200K and the 225kW 3.5 litre V6 SLK 350.

Fuel consumption for the SLK 300 is listed at 9.1 l/100km, compared to 9.6 l/100km for the SLK 350 and 8.0 l/100km for the SLK 200K.

With the new engine being the only major addition, the SLK 300 is otherwise unchanged from the rest of the SLK range. Click here to read up on the 2008 SLK update.
