Jaguar Australia has announced the addition of the V8 75th Anniversary Edition to the XF range, which offers more equipment at a lower price than the V8-equipped XF Premium Luxury.
Priced at $128,900 before on-road costs, the XF 75th Anniversary Edition boasts some mild cosmetic upgrades over the regular 5.0 V8 model.
A set of 20-inch alloys and a pair of chrome exhaust pipe finishers are standard on the XF 75th Anniversary Edition, while inside there’s dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and ignition, an 8-speaker stereo with USB input and iPod connectivity, sat-nav and 8-way power adjustable front seats (the Premium Luxury gets 10-way adjustable seats).
Aluminium and polished wood trim are also standard, complementing the leather upholstery.
The XF V8’s mechanical package remains unchanged, with Jaguar’s familiar naturally aspirated 5.0 litre third-gen AJ-V8 producing 283kW and 515Nm. A ZF-sourced six-speed automatic is the sole transmission on offer, and also features a pair of wheel-mounted shift paddles for manual control of gearchanges.
Besides a ‘Sport’ mode for the automatic, Dynamic Mode can be enabled to enhance throttle response, loosen up the stability control program and speed up gearshifts.
Acceleration from zero to 100km/h takes a claimed 5.7 seconds, and top speed is limited to 250km/h.
Order books are now open, and deliveries of the XF V8 75th Anniversary Edition are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
