HONDA AUSTRALIA has this week launched the updated 2010 Honda CR-V, with styling tweaks and specification upgrades first revealed late last year.
While the side sheetmetal and headlight shapes carry over, the front bumper, grille and bonnet are new for 2010.
The updated CR-V gets new seven-spoke alloy wheels for the Sport and five-spoke items for the Luxury. Auto headlights and wipers join the Luxury model's standard features list.
Changes to the front castor angles and compliances bushes at the rear have been designed to enhance ride and handling, and extra sound-deadening in the engine bay and cabin has improved NVH levels.
Inside, the updated CR-V gets redesigned door handles and new interior surfaces, along with upgraded fabrics and plastics for a more 'premium' finish.
For the safety-conscious, the entry-level CR-V now features full-length curtain airbags as standard.
Two new accessory packs are available for all CR-V model grades, dubbed Active pack and Modulo Sports pack.
The ‘Active’ pack includes Bluetooth, Side steps, Roof racks, Deluxe mats, Cargo protector tray, Chrome exhaust tip, side window visors, door sill garnish and dust and pollen filter.
The ‘Modulo Sports’ features side steps, front skid plate, rear skid plate, Tailgate spoiler, Sports grille, Chrome exhaust tip and chrome mirror covers.
Both packs sell for $2,699 including fitting.
