Honda Australia has this week announced local availability of the 2010 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, following its overseas launch last September.

Although largely unchanged from the 2009 model, the updated 'blade does get one mechanical update in the form of an increased-diameter flywheel for greater inertia.

On the styling front, the 2010 CBR1000RR gets three new colour schemes: Silver Metallic and Pearl Fire Orange, Graphite Black and Victory Red, and Graphic Black and Pearl Sunbeam White.

There is also a new muffler cover "for enhanced appearance," and a functional upgrade to the number-plate stay, making for easier removal on track days.

The 2010 CBR1000RR is available from dealers nationally now with an MLP of $17,990 (standard) and $18,990 (ABS).
