2010 Ferrari F450 Spied Without Camouflage

Automotive spy photography is a serious game.  While many of the photos you see getting around are simply test mules or prototypes covered head-to-toe in camouflage, you also get real winners coming through from time to time, and that’s big dollars for the photographer.

This is one of those times.

The guys at UK rag Auto Express have got their hands on images of the upcoming 2010 Ferrari F450 – successor to the current F430 – as it’s being loaded onto a carrier truck.

From what we can tell, it’s not too far off the F450 concept we posted back in February.

The F450 will feature a 4.5 litre V8 – hence the name – making about 373kW (500hp) courtesy of improved mechanicals and a boosted rev limit.

Other anticipated features include a new gearbox in the form of a modified version of the Ferrari California’s even-speed double-clutch system, as well as – hopefully – a KERS system.

The 2010 Ferrari F450 is expected to debut at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
