TEASED IN A SINGLE sketch earlier this month, images of Bertone's Alfa Romeo concept, dubbed the Alfa Romeo Pandion, have surfaced online this morning ahead of its official Geneva unveiling.

Named after either (or perhaps both) the bird of prey known better as the Osprey or the two kings of Greek mythology, the Pandion bears more than a passing resemblance to the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept revealed last year.

Little is known about the Pandion concept's specifications, with nothing more than the leaked images making their way online so far.

The concept is the company's first new design since Fiat bought the company last year.

The move to develop a successor to the 159 - which will include a coupe, convertible and sedan - coincides with Alfa Romeo’s centenary celebrations, due to take place later this year.
