Suzuki's 2009 RM-Z250K9 motocrosser with a punchy 249cc, four-stroke DOHC engine, lightweight aluminium chassis, and Showa suspension has landed in Oz.
Team Shift Motul Suzuki's rising star, Matt Moss, will debut the 2009 RM-Z250K9 Pro Lites racer in this year's Australasian Supercross Championship when the 2008 Super X season kicks off in October.
"With a host of race-bred technology, the 2009 RM-Z250 is a big part of Suzuki's off-road line-up and set to be a key player in the Australian motocross scene," Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia, said.
The new RM-Z250’s compact and low-set lightweight engine is engineered to perform across a wide powerband, with ignition timing and rev-limiter set for optimum high-rpm and over-rev performance.
A high-strength, twin-spar aluminium-alloy frame - developed by Suzuki in competition - with Showa inverted twin-chamber front fork (with 47mm inner tube), 310mm of wheel travel, and Showa rear shock absorber and lightweight swing-arm promises agile handling and control when things are getting down and dirty.
New graphics in Suzuki's Champion Yellow livery, gold-plated drive chain and axle blocks complete the factory racer look.
Suzuki's 2009 RM-Z250 is now available from local Suzuki dealers, for $9,990 inc. GST (RRP), plus dealer delivery charges.
