Not at all 'over the top' (well... only a bit), Suzuki's top-selling Boulevard M109R muscle cruiser is now available in Cherry Red.

With its 109 cubic inch, liquid-cooled, DOHC, V-Twin engine (1783cc), huge 112mm forged aluminium-alloy pistons and Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel-injection system, the Boulevard M109R provides massive torque and genuine big-bore cruiser performance. With a mix of 60's retro design, big pipes and 'Flash Gordon' body work, the Boulevard has a style of its own while still a cruiser to the core.

The Boulevard M109R is the only big-bore Japanese model consistently inside the Top 10 selling cruisers in Australia. With its own distinctive V-twin engine note from the huge 2-into-1-into-2 stainless steel, chromed pipes, it's got the 'rumble' to match the serious cruiser looks.

Inverted front forks, 46mm stanchion tubes (with 129.5mm wheel-travel), and a cast-aluminium-alloy swingarm with progressive linkage and single rear shock (preload adjustable, 120mm wheel travel), keeps the mothership on terra firma while providing a smooth open-road ride. Pullings things up are radial-mounted four-piston calipers up front, with dual 310mm front brake rotors, and a dual-piston rear caliper and 275mm disc.

With 19-litre fuel tank and a low and comfortable riding position (the solo seat cover can be easily swapped to accommodate a passenger), the big Suzuki is now well-accepted as a genuine contender in the class.

Now available in a Pearl Black or new Cherry Red livery, the 2009 Suzuki Boulevard M109R (VZR1800) can be had for $18,990 RRP(plus on-roads), including a two-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
