What would a Motor Show be without some Italian stallions to drool over? There may have been a no-show from Ferrari and Maserati at this year's Show, but Lamborghini has three of its most enticing thoroughbreds gracing the convention centre.

The talk of the Show from the supercar perspective was the first Australian appearance of the LP560-4 Spyder. The Spyder (meaning open-top in Italian) has the same underpinnings of the LP560-4 coupe version. This means you get a 5.2 litre V10 powered Italian supercar with a 0-100 km/h in four seconds and a toupee-disturbing top-speed of 324 kph.

Other improvements of the LP560-4 over the previous model includes newly revised suspension, a revised permanent all-wheel drive system and a re-programmed e-gear system delivering up-shifts quicker than Michael Phelps can deliver an apology.

Next to the Spyder, and looking seriously more evil in Nero Noctis Black, was the LP 560-4 coupe, proving that in the looks department, the Gallardo coupe is still the winner in the range.

The last car representing Lamborghini was by no means the least. Taking 1st place as the award for the most expensive car of the show, the Murciélago LP640 Roadster was on display, coming in at a wallet-crushing $750,000!

The range topping LP640 Roadster follows the Italian supercar passion for large capacity V12s - this one of 6.5 litres and developing 475kW (640 hp) of power (hence the name). If you dare to play with the devil, the Roadster is capable of reaching 100kph in just 3.4 secs and goes on to reach a top speed of 330kph.
