BMW's recently revealed Hommage concept got tongues wagging in a big way across the Blogosphere and the one big question was; is BMW planning to have another tilt at a production M1? The pot was further stirred by a talented CGI artist from Spain who took an E92 M3 coupe and with a chop here and blend there, created what for all the world could have been a production M1 - but it wasn't.

Well M1 fans, there is yet another piece of news concerning a future BMW supercar. Italian BMW tuner Racing Dynamics has via their website unwittingly confirmed BMW's plan to build an M1 successor.

The above image appeared on their website along with the following description:

"The Racing Dynamics RS55 Coupe 655 HP and a top speed in excess of 215 MPH. The V10-powered Racing Dynamics RS55 is based on the upcoming M10 supercar from BMW, and will likely see the showroom floor by the end of 2009".

End of 2009 guys! If this is true then the folks over at Bavarian Motor Werks have had their hands full with a new supercar for a while now and passed the specs on to some aftermarket tuners. Set to take on the Italians, lets hope BMW can bring the price in under the Lexus LF-A.

Thanks for the tip Bavarian Missile!
