2008 Honda Accord spy photos Photo:

Some new pics have surfaced of the 2008 Honda Accord Sedan not due for release until September of this year. Intrepid (famous) car spy-photo person Chris Doane has managed to snap a barely disguised 2008 Accord.

Normally spy photos are a little exciting but this new Accord has far too much Hyundai about it. I think the design team gave their pencils to the janitor and holidayed in Majorca...but don?t quote me on that.

Following in the huge footprints of the mighty Toyota, Honda have obviously decided that bland is best and who wouldn?t with the current worldwide fascination for Corolla, Prius and Camry.

The 2008 Accord is expected to debut with an all new Advanced VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine in the standard car with a 209 kw V6 version for those who want more under-bonnet bling with their bland and no doubt a bigger tug on the wheel when they give it some gas.

The whisper on the streets suggests that the V6 will combine its hefty kilowatt count with the latest in cylinder de-activation technology to improve fuel efficiency. I hope the FWD electronic nannies are up to the task.
