Further evidence that Audi’s new M5 fighter is nearing production readiness are photos snapped in Europe of a basically undisguised RS6 wagon. Sans the black and white chequered disguise seen in photos and videos to-date we are afforded a good look at the new styling of Audi’s new RS6.
Cosmetic changes are subtle but provide the RS6 with an altogether more menacing stance and appearance when compared to its lesser A6 and S6 brethren. Changes include, bonnet vents, larger front air intakes and brake cooling ducts integrated into the front bar which includes a lower lip that is a theme carried around to the side sills. To the casual observer the trademark silver door mirrors are as usual the most obvious clue that this is more special than the average A6.
Mechanically it is expected that the RS6 will take the M3’s V10 and raise it a turbocharger and 200cc. The RS6 is expected to use a 5.2-litre turbo-charged version of the Lamborghini’s Gallardo V10 and upwards of 410Kw will be the result. The M5 currently manages 373Kw so the Audi RS6 will have it licked for the time being at least.

It is our best guess that the new Audi RS6 will debut at this years Frankfurt Motorshow. Whenever it officially appears it promises to be an absolute bahnstormer!
