After months of work and 18,000 odd customer-submitted suggestions, Pontiac has finally named our Holden Ute as the Pontiac G8 ST. Inventive, huh? Sifting through 18,000 submissions is no easy task on its own, but then each possibility had to be checked and cleared for trademark infringement before the ‘ST’ moniker was finally selected.

Over the weekend, GM formerly announced the export of the VE Commodore Ute to North America. Due to arrive in the States in late 2009 the VE based Ute is currently being referred to as the Pontiac G8 Sports Truck.

Mirroring our own Commodore Ute the G8 Sports Truck will feature the same 270kW/361hp 6.0-litre V8 [...]
