New car review: Infiniti FX30d Sport
Until now, infinity has either been a really, really big number or something associated with kids toys … ''and beyond''.
But drop the ''y'' and replace it with an ''i'' and you have the latest luxury car in Australia. Already well established in the US, Infiniti is embarking on a global expansion. Anyone interested in formula one might have noticed the brand splashed across the back of the Red Bull cars, one of which is driven by Australian Mark Webber.
The road cars aren't as fast, but Infiniti hopes the sporty theme has rubbed off on the two models it's selling here: the M mid-size sedan and FX SUV.
It's the latter we've driven, and it's a car that lines up against well-established favourites such as the Lexus RX and BMW X5/X6.
