2010 Subaru Outback 3.6R Premium: owner review
My Subaru Outback 3.5R is extremely comfortable for long distance journeys.
Owner: Bill Andrews
- Engine is superb , powerful & economical.
- GPS map is virtually impossible to update roads and streets.
My Subaru Outback 3.5R is extremely comfortable for long distance journeys. I have travelled 216,000 km to Broome, Darwin, Perth, the Kimberleys, Uluru, Oodnadatta, the Strezlecki tracks and many other areas of Australia.
I threw away the highway tyres originally fitted and put on Bridgestone Dueller AT's. I have not had a flat since they were fitted.
The 5-speed auto is brilliant, as is the four-wheel drive, I would have updated to a new Outback about four years ago but Subaru dropped the 6-cylinder engine and put in CVT gearboxes which are absolutely terrible to drive.
I have decided to keep this Outback indefinitely having had one since I bought one new 11 years ago.
