Video: Next ‘Fast & Furious’ movie teaser released – UPDATE

The cult street-racing film series loved – and hated – by car enthusiasts is coming to an end. Here is the first look at Fast X.

UPDATE, 25 April 2023: Two months after the first movie teaser was released, a second short promotional film for the next instalment in the Fast & Furious saga has been released.

As previously reported, actor Jason Momoa is playing the bad guy in Fast X – sending a bomb to destroy the Vatican City, with our favourite characters appearing to fail in their mission of stopping the explosion by driving fast (and furiously).

There are plenty more explosions, interesting cars, fight scenes, villains turned good, and lots of stunt driving – as can be expected from a Fast & Furious movie.

The new teaser video appears to hint at a minor character being killed off during a race with (you guessed it) explosives, but we won't spoil the story by revealing who.

The original story – featuring the first movie teaser – continues unchanged below.

14 February 2023: After more than two decades, it's the beginning of the end for the Fast & Furious movie franchise about street-racing and cult cars.

The first official teaser has been released for Fast X – the final story in the 'The Fast Saga', as it's known – which is expected to be split across two films.

Actor Jason Momoa stars as the villain, alongside the usual all-star cast seen in the first nine films.

The theme of 'family' continues to resonate, with Momoa's character Dante vying for revenge after his father – the bad guy in Fast Five – was killed by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew.

Directed by French film-maker Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, Transporter 2, The Incredible Hulk), Fast X features a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 997 911 GT3 RS, a fleet of BMW E34s, Dom's Dodge Charger R/T, and the various cars spied back in June and October 2022.

Motorbike fans won't be left disappointed either, with plenty of two-wheel action.

The first instalment of Fast X is due in cinemas later this year, though exact release dates are yet to be revealed.
