Tesla shooting incident captured by the electric car’s onboard camera
The driver of a Tesla Model 3 was shot at by an unknown assailant in Nashville last week, and the bizarre skirmish was captured by the vehicle's integrated TeslaCam.
A Tesla Model 3’s integrated camera system – known as TeslaCam – appears to have captured an attempted shooting in Nashville, Tennessee last week.
According to the Nashville Police Department, the offender was actively targeting the Tesla and its occupants.
While the electric vehicle was struck, CarAdvice understands no one was injured in the incident.
The footage was later posted to the r/TeslaCam subreddit, and several keen-eyed observers were able to determine the shooter was driving a 2007 GMC Envoy with North Carolina number plates.
However, in media release published this week, local authorities confirmed they are yet to apprehend the alleged shooter.
