Skoda’s Spruce Scale takes the guesswork out of buying a Christmas tree

Skoda’s Christmas gift to the world is detailing which size Christmas trees fit inside each of its models.

Skoda has leaned into the Christmas spirit by detailing exactly how tall a Christmas tree each of its models can fit inside the cargo and passenger areas. Skoda’s Spruce Scale helps owners to buy the perfect-height Christmas tree, without having to force it inside or lop bits off unnecessarily.

It’s apparently enough of a problem for Skoda to create an infographic that ranks all of its models in size order - the largest being the Skoda Superb liftback and wagon which can supposedly fit a 6.5-foot (198cm) Christmas tree with the rear seats down. Below that, the Skoda Kodiaq and Octavia liftback can fit six-foot (183cm) firs.

The brand’s first dedicated electric car, the Enyaq iV, and the Octavia estate can fit 5.5-foot (168cm) trees each.

On the smaller end of the scale a Scala or Karoq owner can expect to fit a five-foot (152cm) tree.

If you need to go bigger still, Skoda also points out its range of roof rack solutions which will conveniently keep the car clear of stray pine needles.

For those looking for the ultimate in Christmas tree transport, Skoda will display the infographic inside its dealerships to provide some handy last-minute consumer data. It’s also set to be shared across the brand’s social media networks.
