Ram 1500 Black Pack hits showrooms
Ram’s baby tough truck has just been given a darker look.
The Australian importer of the US brand has announced a blacked-out version of its smallest big-rig is here, the Ram 1500 Black Pack.
Based off the Ram 1500 Express, it features the smaller ‘Quad Cab’ body with a 1950mm long tray, as opposed to the Laramie which gets a larger cabin and smaller tray (1737mm).
Ram Australia says the new variants are already in showrooms, decked out in Brilliant Black metallic paint with 20-inch black alloy wheels, a black grille, black front and rear bumpers and darkened headlights.
The Black Pack asks an extra $5000 on top of the base Express model it's based off, priced from $84,950 (plus on-roads).
It’s also available with the brand’s RamBox loading system for an extra $4500 - making it $89,450 (plus on-roads).
Retaining its best in class towing capacity of 4500kg is thanks to the tank’s 291kW 5.7-litre V8 engine.
Ram Trucks Australia’s General Manager Alex Stewart says the Black Pack sits neatly between the standard 1500 Express and the 1500 Laramie to “provide a combination of a strong and unique visual appeal”.
The 1500 Black Pack will also come with the brand’s three-year/100,000km warranty with roadside assistance.
