Porsche has announced a new four-cylinder entry level model for its Macan small SUV at the Beijing auto show, which will be targeted primarily at South-East Asian markets and the UK.
The engine in question is the Volkswagen Group's familiar EA888 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol four, which has seen service in the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3, as well as several Seat and Skoda models.
In the case of the Macan, outputs for the four-cylinder powerplant are listed at 174kW and 350Nm, substantially less than the 250kW/460Nm of the already-announced twin-turbo V6 Macan S.
