The unveiling of Pagani's Zonda-replacing C9 supercar is drawing closer, and while an exact date has yet to be announced, a new teaser video offers the briefest glimpse of what lies ahead.
Much of the video is dedicated to setting the mood, closing at last on a man - possibly the brand's founder Horacio Pagani - finishing a cup of coffee and clasping a scale model of a supercar that likely marks the first look at the C9.
The video reveals little else, although it is known that the C9 will draw power from a unique 515kW/1000Nm 6.0 litre V12 engine provided by Mercedes-Benz's AMG performance arm.
Pagani's newest offering will rival the company's current hero car, the 550kW/710Nm Zonda R - itself limited to just 16 examples.
Gullwing doors are also expected to feature, nestled in a carbon-fibre body. Pagani has confirmed that the C9 will be an all-new offering, featuring different materials and technologies to the current Zonda car.
Made of more than 3770 new parts, the C9 will be built on a carbon-titanium chassis with custom-developed Pirelli tyres and Bosch electronics.
Pagani will build no more than 40 units each year, with pricing expected to start at at a hefty $1.4 million.
Mr Pagani confirmed earlier this year that his company was aiming at a late-2010 unveiling. With
