Norweld celebrates 50 years with special-edition Great Northern tray and canopy package

Is this the ultimate tray and canopy package for a four-wheel drive?

Leading Australian tray and canopy manufacturer Norweld is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special-edition Great Northern package.

Limited to a run of 50 units, this tray and canopy package is kitted out with a Bushman 130l upright fridge, 12-volt electrical package, slide-out drawers and table, overhead storage, ladder, roof rack and twin spare wheel holders.

The tray is fitted with a sealed and lockable trundle drawer and tool boxes, as well as an underslung 40-litre water tank.

Norweld's limited-edition tray and canopy will be made to suit the Toyota HiLux, Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Holden Colorado and Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series.

Pricing will vary according to the vehicle and options, but prices start from $32,186. That figure includes includes fitment at one of Norweld’s offices around Australia.

Like other Norweld products, the trays and canopies are made from high-quality aluminium. They can be set up as a tray and wind-off canopy, or as a full-time (non-removable) canopy.

All Norweld trays and canopies come with an 'Unconditional Guarantee for Life Against Faulty Workmanship’, the company says.

The limited-edition run is a collaboration with the Great Northern brewing company, and includes additional beer storage along with special branding.

Manufacturing takes place in Cairns, with 45 employees building aluminium trays and canopies for a variety of popular makes and models.

Norweld has long been regarded as one of of Australia’s best tray and canopy manufacturers. In recent years, the brand has begun exporting its product to overseas markets like the USA, Middle East, Africa and New Zealand.
