New Forza Motorsport plagued with software glitches

Video game enthusiasts around the world have flagged frustrating technical glitches with the latest Forza Motorsport edition less than 24 hours after it was released.

The latest version of the Forza Motorsport video game has frustrated fans around the world who have reported technical glitches within the first 24 hours of going online.

The eighth version of the popular Forza Motorsport video game debuted globally on 10 October 2023 and introduced more than 500 cars, more than a dozen new racetracks, and monthly updates said to include online events.

However, a number of Forza users around the world have already reported a range of unusual technical bugs and glitches in the new racing game.

The full list of gaming software faults have been published on the official Forza Motorsport support website.

The technical glitches are mainly seen on PC computers, but some Xbox users have also reported experiencing similar faults.

According to Yahoo Finance, early access (previously available on Forza Motorsport pre-order) Forza Motorsport players were exposed to a range of major technical malfunctions.

Some early Forza players have reported the inability to save their gaming progress and are met with loading screen problems when trying to upgrade their cars.

Frustrated video game players took to Forza forums and online platform Reddit to express their disappointment –  with most users on the forum experiencing similar problems with the video game.

One Forza player on the forum said “No matter how many times I try, the game just freezes after having done the final event of that series.

“I have to restart the game on PC, which immediately resets my progress back to the start of the series. Very frustrating issue."

While glitches are common in new and early-access games –  the Forza franchise is known for ongoing software issues, with the Forza Forums collecting a history of problems associated with the video game.

The game developers behind Forza are yet to address the range of ongoing issues with the racing game – leaving fans to collaborate with each other to find temporary solutions.
