Mercedes-Benz Sprinter recalled for window fix
Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its Sprinter van over concerns the vehicle’s windows could come loose.
The German manufacturer reports that the bonding between the multi-layered paintwork around the window apertures “may not conform to adhesion specifications”.
In the event of a collision this bonding could fail, resulting in the window coming loose from the vehicle.
This poses an increased risk of injury to the occupants of the vehicle.
Owners of the affected vans will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz via mail. For more information, customers can contact the company directly on (03) 9566 9266.
This latest recall is the fourth in a fortnight for the German marque, with the Vito van and C200d recalled for possible fuel leaks, while a handful of AMG C63 S Coupes were recalled over concerns the lower section of the front bumper could detach.
