Oh how we wished this wasn't an April Fools gag.
There's precedent, after all. Given the company has previously greenlit a six-wheel-drive G-Wagen powered by a 5.5 litre twin-turbo V8, you could forgive us for thinking - nay, hoping - that AMG was genuinely planning a performance version of the blue-collar Sprinter van.
But alas this "Mercedes-AMG Sprinter 63 S" is nothing but a rendering, and that sucks. After all, with a 373kW/698Nm 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 lurking up front and the driven wheels located at the rear, city-level freight logistics would never be the same again.
