Little Talladega is the holiday house of petrolhead dreams

Is this the ultimate car enthusiast's holiday house? A go-kart track, dirt oval, workshop, and racing car beds is a good start.

In a small Missouri, United States town near the Ozark Mountains lies Little Talladega: a unique rental property designed for the automotive enthusiast and thrill-seeker. Chief among all attributes, it stocks two racetracks and kilometres of dirt trails for renters to explore.

It’s listed on Airbnb as a 789 square-metre, Tuscan-style house attached to a 60-acre property with accommodation for up to 16 people. There are six bedrooms, 12 beds, and six bathrooms, though the most interesting feature is the racetrack which surrounds the building.

There’s not a lot to the teardrop-shaped track, though there is a large sweeping bend to perform skids and a cut-through section which could provide alternate layouts.

Though customers can bring their own vehicles to drive on track, the property does supply its own go karts to race. As well, there’s a shed-full of ATVs and motorbikes to deploy upon the attached dirt oval track.

There’s even space to set up a crazy kart course. However, should you tire of motorsports, you’ll find an arcade stocked with games, a tennis court, basketball rings, a pool table, dance floor, swimming pool, and playground.

It is clear this property has been aimed directly at car enthusiasts, with two bedrooms full of racing car beds to retire to after you’re spent of energy. Staff are on hand to tend to every need of guests, and are tucked away inside a separate staff quarters.

With all that, the price isn’t cheap – a one-night stay costs $2757 according to Airbnb. But if you’ve got the means, Little Talladega looks like an entertaining home away from home with everything a petrolhead could ask for.
