Jaguar Land Rover appoints Mark Cameron as local managing director
New Australian boss steps in from previous role as global experiential marketing director.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has appointed Mark Cameron its new Australian managing director, after Matthew Wiesner's abrupt departure in May.
Cameron moves from his role as 'global experiential marketing director', having previously held senior leadership roles in Mazda UK's sales and marketing departments.
"I am delighted to be joining and leading the Jaguar Land Rover team in Australia," he said.
"Both our brands have seen significant growth over the last few years and I believe the Australian market provides great opportunity for this to continue."
"My focus will be on exciting our customers through world-class products and services and providing a stable and profitable long-term business for our partners," he added.
The new managing director will spend 'extended periods' visiting our market between July and September.
As of the end of May, Jaguar sales were down 26.4 per cent year-to-date, while Land Rover was down 11.6 per cent.
