Italian design studio Italdesign has revealed its wildly styled Parcour SUV concept at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
Shown in both coupe and roadster bodystyles, the two-seat mid-engined Parcour is perhaps best-described as a supercar SUV.
Driving the Parcour is Lamborghini's 404kW 5.2 litre V10 matched to Audi's seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which delivers claimed 0-100km/h acceleration of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h.
Significantly, the Parcour bears the name of Volkswagen Group-owned Italdesign, rather than one of the group’s eight automotive nameplates (VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Bugatti), leaving options for a production future wide open.
The name Parcour (or Parkour) is derived from the French-origin pursuit of traversing obstacles at speed.
"Parkour was devised as a new way of living and experiencing a metropolitan route creatively." So said Italdesign boss Fabrizio Giugiaro (with, one assumes, a straight face).
Italdesign says its all-wheel drive Parcour concept is a balance of on-road, off-road, winter, and racetrack capabilities.
