South Korean brand now offering smartphone mirroring tech in existing models.

Hyundai has announced that its Accent small car and iLoad and iMax vans will now come with Apple CarPlay as standard.

The smartphone mirroring technology allows users to sync their Apple iPhones with the car's touchscreen allowing the use of maps, Siri command functions and a range of apps and call functions.

The South Korean car maker is also giving existing owners of iMax Series 2 and iLoad Series 2 a free software upgrade that will make their vehicles compatible with Apple CarPlay. The upgrade will be carried out at Hyundai dealerships.

Similarly, Accent owners with vehicles built from December 2015 will also get a free software upgrade. Selected Accent model built between December 2014 and November 2015 are also eligible for the free upgrade. Hyundai asks owners to check with its customer service department to see if their car is eligible.
