Fiat Brings Another 60th Anniversary 500 To Oz

Fiat Australia has introduced a belated birthday present to celebrate 60 years of its iconic 500 since the first hatch rolled down the line in 1957.

The 60th Anniversary 500 is influenced by a ‘Dolcevita’ colour scheme that sees the cabriolet-only model wear unique dual-colour pastel ivory over white body paint with grey and burgundy pin striping around its waistline and a grey fabric roof. Extra exterior enhancements include chrome mirror caps, chrome bonnet strip ascent and special lightweight 16-inch alloys. It also gets exclusive '560' badging on its pillars, sills and numbered limited edition plaque.

Inside, the two-door features a red vinyl dashboard and ivory leather trim with burgundy seams that match unique dual-colour floor mats. Other features fitted as standard include a five speed robotised manual transmission with leather gear knob, climate control, fog lights, rear parking sensors, 7.0-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a round 7.0-inch TFT instrument display. 

Head of Fiat Australia, Fulvio Antonelli, said the special edition encapsulates the brand’s history.

“This is a gorgeous vehicle that successfully interprets sixty years of automotive charm in an elegant, modern form that will resonate with Fiat aficionados,” he said.

“The new 60th Anniversary Fiat 500 special edition epitomises the classic panache and heritage of Fiat’s rich history,” 

The new Fiat 500 60th Anniversary special edition joins last year's 500 Anniversario Special Edition model and is priced from $28,990 plus on-road costs with deliveries expected to begin from March.
