Annual Geelong Revival Motoring Festival this weekend – 24-26 November 2023

The Geelong Revival is fast-becoming a premier Australian motoring event. You can check out all the action – including car shows, speed trials, and stunts – this weekend.

The annual Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is taking place this weekend – 24-26 November 2023 – with a slew of automotive action packed into a busy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.

Touting more than 1000 display vehicles, 300 competitors for the quarter-mile sprint, period fashion displays, and countless other attractions for the whole family, this year’s event is expected to host over 50,000 visitors over the three-day festival.

The event is centred around Geelong’s picturesque waterfront which has been transformed into a quarter-mile speedway for various high-powered vehicles on both two and four wheels. Bringing the excitement from the original 1956 Geelong speed trials, the current-day event places an emphasis on motorsport history while embracing modern-day cars and motorcycles.

Geelong’s celebration of all things automotive combines equal parts of the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival car shows. This means you can expect vintage fashion styles, all manner of automotive exhibitors, and great food outlets too.

A major attraction is the quarter-mile sprints event which runs along a kinked 400m waterfront stretch. More than 300 cars and bikes across several historic classes are all vying for the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival trophy in 2023.

Away from the dynamic on-track action are a series of static displays including Shannons Classic Motorshow and Motorcycle Mecca. These shows play host to a diverse range of vintage, classic, modern, and performance vehicles.

Much of the event is made free for the public, though tickets for up-close-and-personal interactions start at $15. The pits play home to the race-ready cars when they’re not at full-throttle and you can also chat to drivers and vehicle owners.

It's a huge weekend for every motoring fan, we hope to see you there! Find out all the information at the Geelong Revival website here.
