2024 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline gets $5000 discount before new model due November

The better-equipped Kodiaq Sportline seven-seater is now available for the $5000-lower price of the base-model Style ahead of a new model due by the end of this year.

Skoda Australia has cut $5000 from the price of the 2024 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline seven-seat family SUV to keep cars flowing out of dealerships ahead of a new model due this November.

The Sportline will be offered for the same price as the entry-level Kodiaq Style – $56,490 drive-away, rather than $61,490 drive-away, both nationwide.

The last time Skoda sold the Sportline new for cheaper was in 2021, when the pre-facelift model was priced from $54,990 drive-away – before an updated version arrived with more equipment for $57,990 drive-away.

Features now thrown in for free include; 20-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam, black exterior trim, black rear badges, aluminium pedals, shift paddles, individual tyre-pressure monitors, and 'sports comfort' front seats with integrated headrests.

Compared to the Style, the Sportline also scores a power-adjustable driver's seat with memory, a drive mode selector with Sport mode, side mirrors with memory and passenger-side auto tilting in reverse gear, and an auto-dimming centre rear-view mirror.

The price-reduced Sportline is offered with the same seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty as the Style.

Options include a new $4600 Run-Out pack combining the previous Tech Pack and Luxury Pack – which cost $5400 combined – with adaptive suspension, park assist, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front and second-row seats, and tri-zone climate control.

The pack also includes a 360-degree camera, lane-centring assist, emergency assist, an off-road mode, and a 'sleep pack' with "airline style headrest extensions".

Also available as an option are leather seats with front-seat ventilation ($2300), a panoramic sunroof ($1900), and five-year/75,000km ($2900) or seven-year/105,000km ($3350) pre-paid service packs.

The special offer precedes the arrival of the new-generation Kodiaq in November 2024, initially offered with a 150kW 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine to replace today's 132kW unit, before a new RS flagship arrives between April and June 2025.

It is likely to be more expensive than today's $56,490 drive-away Kodiaq Style to offset a longer list of equipment, larger body and new safety technology.
