2024 Ford Bronco to head to Europe, still no plans for Australia

Ford is sending the Bronco to Europe next year, as it dips its toe outside of North American markets.

The 2024 Ford Bronco has been announced for some European markets, but there’s no word on the four-wheel-drive making its way to Australia.

Ford announced the Bronco will arrive in limited numbers “selected left-hand-drive European markets from late 2023,” with Germany expected to be one of the countries to receive the four-wheel-drive.

The company’s decision to bring the Bronco to Europe in “strictly limited numbers” could suggest it’s looking to see how the model is received in markets outside of North America.

While Ford’s expansion into overseas markets is a positive sign for the Bronco, the Blue Oval has yet to commit to right-hand-drive production – ruling out any chance for an Australian arrival in the foreseeable future, despite being based on the same chassis architecture as the Ranger.

A spokesperson for Ford’s local arm has also confirmed to Drive there are still no plans to bring the Bronco to Australia at this stage.

If it was to be offered locally, it’s possible the Bronco would cannibalise sales of the Ranger, rather than taking market-share away from Jeep – widely reported as being the motivation behind Ford reviving the model in the US.
