2023 BMW X3 Sport announced for Australia with $109,900 drive-away price

BMW has given the X3 its ‘Sport Collection’ special-edition treatment, offering a limited number of the SUVs with more equipment for a higher price.

BMW Australia has launched a new variant of its popular 2023 BMW X3 SUV, limited to 350 examples and due in showrooms later this month with a circa-$110,000 price tag.

The BMW X3 xDrive 30i Sport is priced from $109,900 drive-away – about $3000 to $4000 more than the ‘standard’ X3 xDrive 30i upon which it is based after factoring in on-road costs.

As with previously-released BMW ‘Sport Collection’ variants – which were available across the 1 Series, 2 Series, 3 Series, X1 and X2 line-ups – the X3 xDrive 30i Sport adds unique equipment to the top non-M, petrol-only grade.

Additional features include new-style 20-inch wheels in Orbit Grey, a panoramic glass sunroof,, a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, plus heated front seats with adjustable lumbar support.

BMW X3 xDrive 30i Sport buyers are also offered a choice of three metallic paints for no extra cost – M Carbon Black, Mineral White or M Brooklyn Grey.

Carry-over equipment from the X3 xDrive 30i includes the M Sport styling package, adaptive suspension, leather upholstery, a head-up display, dual 12.3-inch digital instrument and infotainment displays, power-adjustable front seats, and a power-operated tailgate.

The BMW X3 xDrive 30i Sport is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 185kW and 350Nm – claimed to consume 7.9 litres per 100km of fuel in mixed driving conditions.

The 2023 BMW X3 xDrive 30i Sport is due in showrooms in August 2023, with 350 examples slated to arrive in Australia.
