2022 Lexus UX300e price and specs

Lexus has confirmed pricing for its first fully-electric vehicle, undercutting the Mercedes-Benz EQA and Volvo XC40 Recharge, but not the Polestar 2 – despite a shorter claimed driving range than both.

  • 2022 Lexus UX300e pricing and specifications
  • UX300e rolls out new five-year Lexus warranty
  • Luxury and Sports Luxury variants available
  • Priced from $74,000 before on-road costs

Lexus Australia has confirmed pricing for the new 2022 Lexus UX300e range, along with details of a new five-year warranty, starting with the electric model, but set to expand across the Lexus range from 1 January 2022.

Pricing for the UX300e Luxury starts from $74,000 plus on-road costs, rising to $81,000 for the range-topping Sports Luxury. This compares to $64,100 before on-road costs for the UX250h Sports Luxury AWD below it in the range, but forgoes all-wheel drive, with front-wheel drive only available on the EV model.

Powering both variants is a 150kW/300Nm electric motor on the front axle, paired to a 54.3kWh lithium-ion battery for a 7.5-second 0-100km/h time.

Lexus Australia claims 360km of range according to NEDC testing, though Europe’s more stringent WLTP test cycle sees up to 315km of driving on offer – aided by aero-optimised wheels and underbody panels, regenerative braking functionality, and bespoke chassis tuning. 50kW DC fast-charging is available, for a 52-minute quick-charge time to 80 per cent.

Standard equipment on the UX300e Luxury includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, eight-way electric, heated and ventilated front seats, a 10.3-inch central display, a 7.0-inch instrument binnacle, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and a suite of active safety technology.

Differentiating the UX300e Luxury from other UX variants is a unique 17-inch wheel design, plus ‘ELECTRIC’ and ‘UX 300e’ badging, and the inclusion of ventilated rear brake discs.

Stepping up to the UX300e Sports Luxury adds 18-inch alloy wheels, tri-beam LED headlights with auto-levelling, LED front indicators, a sunroof, head-up display, 360-degree camera, leather-accented seats, and more. Full standard equipment lists for both models are included at the bottom of this story.

A total of 10 exterior colours are available, joining a selection of interior hues, including a unique Zephyr Blue colour combination on the Sports Luxury, with black, blue and light grey cabin surfaces.

As part of the UX300e package, Lexus also includes installation of a basic 7kW AC home charger, and three years' complimentary access to the ChargeFox 'high-speed' (up to 50kW) charging network.

The UX300e comes with three years access to the Encore Platinum ownership program, which includes access to another Lexus when travelling interstate or to New Zealand, for up to eight days, four times during the program period. Free Westfield valet parking is also available up to eight times as part of Encore Platinum.
