2019-2021 Honda Accord Hybrid recalled due to electrical fault
A faulty recharging unit fitted to 89 examples of the Honda Accord Hybrid could cause a loss of power.
Honda Australia has issued a recall of 89 examples of its (MY2019 and MY2021) Accord Hybrid model due to a potential issue with the recharging unit.
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says the DC-DC converter fitted to the Accord may shut down in cold temperatures, causing warning lights to appear and the vehicle to lose power.
The affected vehicles were sold on 16 October 2019, and between 17 June 2020 and 11 August 2020.
Honda is contacting owners to organise inspection and repair of the defect.
