2018 Mahindra Pik Up – Price And Features For Australia

Mahindra has announced details of its "all new" Pik Up ute. 

The Indian carmaker has given its cut-price workhorse ute range a raft of upgrades, headlined by a more powerful diesel engine and a updated transmission, as it looks to do battle with a range of new affordable Chinese-built utes that have arrived in Australia throughout 2017.

All models receive a new 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel unit that lifts outputs to 103kW and 330Nm, up from 85kW and 270Nm in the outgoing version.

All models come equipped with a six-speed manual in place of the previous five-speed transmission. No auto option is available.

Mahindra is launching a four-pronged line-up of the reworked Pik Up - three dual-cab options and one single cab variant – with pricing starting from $26,990 drive away. 

The lone single-cab 4x4 cab chassis variant will be joined by a two-wheel drive variant in early 2018 and will bring the point of entry in to the Pik Up range down to $21,990 drive away.

All dual-cab variants feature four-wheel drive, with the base S6 version available as either a cab chassis costing $29,490 drive away or with a factory fitted well-side tub that is priced at $29,990 drive away.  

The range-topping S10 dual-cab comes equipped with a well-side tub only and costs $31,990 driveaway. 

Mahindra has also altered the styling of the Pik Up with a new grille, headlights, bonnet and footlights getting a once-over. The S10 gets chrome accents on the new grille and LED daytime running lights as standard. 

Inside the Pik Up gets new seat upholstery, with basic S6 variants adding vinyl inserts. Only S10 models score a 6.0-inch touchscreen display. 

All models come with a five year/100,000km warranty and five years roadside assistance.
