2015 Subaru XV prices down, new infotainment systems added
The 2015 Subaru XV has landed in Australian showrooms, bringing updated interior trim and technology and a $1250 price reduction across the range.
Combined with the $750 free trade agreement pricing adjustment passed on in January, the updated Subaru XV is $2000 cheaper than the 2014 version.
The new pricing means the 2015 XV range starts at $26,490 plus on-road costs in 2.0i manual form and tops out at $34,990 for the 2.0i-S CVT.
Subaru's entry-level XV 2.0i upgrades to a new 6.2-inch touchscreen, while the 2.0i-L and 2.0i-S step up to a 7.0-inch unit with satellite navigation.
Other cabin enhancements include upgraded steering wheel audio switches, silver vent-surround accents, metallic front door accents, two rear USB charge ports, and repositioned USB and AUX ports beneath the audio unit.
The 2015 XV 2.0i-L and 2.0i-S add an upgraded CVT gear lever surround, silver leather stitching, and a revised instrument cluster with a new multi-function display with digital speedometer and other real-time driving information.
There are no changes to the XV’s available drivetrains. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder horizontally opposed ‘boxer’ engine continues to produce 110kW and 196Nm, and consumes 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres on the combined cycle with the six-speed manual and 7.0L/100km with the continuously variable transmission.
The updates come just two weeks after near-identical upgrades and price cuts for the 2015 Subaru Impreza.
