2015 Fiat 500, Abarth 500 recalled for front seat fix
Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has issued a recall in Australia for 12 vehicles from its 2015 model-year Fiat 500 and Abarth 500 lines, citing concerns over the front seats.
The company reports the front seat’s guide tracks may not comply to safety standards do to a manufacturing fault.
If the guide tracks are faulty, the seat could suddenly shift backwards or forwards during a crash, which poses an increased risk of injury.
One Fiat 500 and 11 Abarth 500s are affected by the recall.
Owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by FCA Australia and instructed to present their 500 to their local Fiat dealership where repairs will take place.
