2013-2017 Ford EcoSport recalled with fire risk
A manufacturing fault with bonnet insulation could cause an engine bay fire, according to the manufacturer.
Ford Australia has recalled 1029 examples of its 2013-2017 Ford EcoSport SUV, citing a potential fire risk.
The affected vehicles are stamped Model Years 2013-2017.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "The hood insulator may become damaged and come in contact with hot engine components resulting in an engine bay fire.
"A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders."
