Mazda Australia has released the updated-for-2012 Mazda6, adding new specs, new equipment and sharper pricing.
The strong-selling Mazda6 Classic variant is now offered as the Touring grade. For all Touring models, there are now front and rear parking sensors, leather seat trim and power-adjusted front seats (and memory function for driver's side).
The Touring sedan and hatch models have had $300 cut from the price of the equivalent Classic models, while the Touring wagon gets a price cut of $3370 - aligning it with the Touring grades in the hatch and sedan bodystyles.
All Touring variants are fitted with climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, trip computer, rain-sensing wipers, six airbags and Dynamic Stability Control as standard.
The 2012 Mazda6 Diesel wagon also benefits from updates, gaining the same front and rear parking sensors, leather seat trim and power-adjusted front seats (again with memory function for driver's side).
The Mazda6 Luxury Sports hatch also gains a fully-integrated satellite navigation system, with a seven-inch full-colour touch screen as standard - previously a $2800 option.
The Mazda6 Limited sedan and Luxury sedan have both been discontinued for 2012.
Styling and mechanical/engine options remain unchanged for 2012.
